A superb art deco Hancock & Sons Coronaware cake stand hand painted in the Cherry Ripe pattern by Molly Hancock and dating from around 1920. The pottery cake stand is of rounded shape that sits on top a pedestal and is exquisitely hand painted with fruiting trees in naturalistic and colored enamels and set against a contrasting dark and moody colored background with wonderful use of light and dark patches to lift the pattern. The plate has a gilded rim and had printed makers marks to the base including the artist and title of the pattern ‘Cherry Ripe’.This piece is in Excellent Collectors Condition.
